THE EFFECT OF BOOKLET MEDIA ON INCREASING PREGNANT WOMEN'S KNOWLEDGE IN PREVENTION OF LOW BIRTH WEIGHT BIRTH IN THE WORK AREA OF MUARA BANGKAHULU COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, BENGKULU CITY

ABSTRACT
According to the United Nations Children's Fund ( UNICEF), Low Birth Weight (LBW) is a health problem that contributes to infant mortality. In 2020, 19.8 million newborns born globally in that year suffered from low birth weight. The type of research conducted in this study was a quasi-experimental using a pre- test and post-test design . The population in this study were all pregnant women in TM I and TM II who were in the Muara Bangkahulu Health Center work area. The results of this study obtained knowledge before, namely 6 and after 9.80. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value = 0.000 or p value <0.05 which showed that there was an effect of booklet media on increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about preventing LBW births in the Muara Bangkahulu Health Center work area, Bengkulu City. Booklet media can be used to provide education at the Health Center in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women in preventing LBW births.
