The purpose is determine the relationship of factors associated with providing
colostrum in the Karang Dapo Health Center working area of North Musi Rawas
Regency.
This research uses descriptive survey with cross sectional approach. The
population in this study were all mothers with infants aged 1-6 months in the
working area of Karang Dapo Health Center, North Musi Rawas District at the time
of the study with 372 visits in January 2019, so the sample was taken by accidental
sampling technique. Data collection is primary data by means of observation and
questionnaire delivery to post partum mothers in the Karang Dapo Community
Health Center in North Musi Rawas District and secondary data obtained from
records in the form of the number of baby mothers in Karang Dapo Health Center
The results of this study were obtained from 36 samples, namely (1) There
were 25 respondents who did not give colostrum and 11 respondents gave
colostrum; (2) There are 19 respondents who do not have family support and 17
respondents have family support: (3) There are 15 respondents who lack
knowledge, 8 respondents who have enough knowledge and 10 respondents who
have good knowledge; (4) There are 22 said there was no role in health tasks and
14 respondents said there was a role for health tasks; (5) There is a significant
relationship between family support with maternal colostrum, with a very strong
relationship category, (6) there is a significant relationship between knowledge and
maternal colostrum administration; (7) There is a significant relationship between
the role of health workers and the provision of maternal colostrum in the Karang
Dapo Health Center Work Area of North Musi Rawas Regency, with a very strong
relationship
