ABSTRACT
Background: World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016 stated that there were 4,2
milion (75% from all death under 5 years) happened in first year life. WHO sated
Indonesia had number 5 as country with amount of most baby premature in the world
and premature labor identified as baby mortality death. Based on data statistic in 2016
baby mortality death reached 25 people 1000 baby born. Preterm baby or premature
baby with gestation time < 37 weeks (<259 days), preterm baby different with aterm
event in the field, and development.
Objectives: implemented and improved the ability of author in handling midwifery
care on premature baby appropriate with midwifery management who was applied in
midwifery care with SOAP method.
Method: Preparation of this Final Report used descriptive method with case study
type, conducted in perinatology ward RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu, subject of case
study was a baby born of Mrs. N with premature.
Results: Mother said that condition of baby already good, mother said that her baby
already 23 days, mother said always breastfed her baby, general condition good, vital
sign Pulse: 143 x/m, Respiration: 55x/m, Temperature: 37oC Bodyweight: 2660
gram.
Conclusion: There is no gap between theory and practice.
