THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND FAMILY SUPPORT AND THE LEVEL OF ANXIETY OF PREGNANT WOMEN IN FACING LABOR IN THE WORK AREA OF A COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER SMALL BRIDGE OF BENGKULU CITY YEAR 2024

ABSTRACT
Anxiety affects 107,000,000 people worldwide, reaching 28.7 % of them pregnant women before giving birth. The negative effects of anxiety on pregnant women can result in a faster heart rate and more adrenaline being released, thereby reducing blood flow, weakening uterine contractions, and prolonging labor. This study aims to study the Relationship between Knowledge and Family Support with the Level of Anxiety of Pregnant Women in Facing Childbirth in the Work Area of the Jembatan Kecil Health Center, Bengkulu City in 2024. This study is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design conducted from April 22 to May 18, 2024 at the Jembatan Kecil Health Center, Bengkulu City. The study population involved 40 pregnant women in the third trimester in March-April 2024, who were taken using the total sampling technique . Primary and secondary data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test (X2 ) and contingency coefficient (C). The results showed that out of 40 pregnant women, 11 did not experience anxiety, 24 experienced mild anxiety, and 5 experienced moderate anxiety. A total of 26 mothers had good knowledge, 9 had sufficient knowledge, and 5 had poor knowledge. In addition, 34 pregnant women received family support, while 6 did not. The analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge and anxiety of pregnant women in facing childbirth (ρ = 0.000) and a significant relationship between family support and anxiety of pregnant women (ρ = 0.000).
