RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FLOOD IMPACT AND DIARRHEA DISEASE IN TODDLERS IN TUNGGANG VILLAGE MUKOMUKO DISTRICT

ABSTRACT
Diarrhea is an endemic disease that has the potential to cause fatalities. Extraordinary (KLB) and is still a contributor to the death rate in Indonesia, especially in toddlers. In 2021, the coverage of diarrhea services for all ages was 33.6% and for toddlers was 23.8% of the set target. This study aims to determine the relationship between the impact of flooding and diarrhea in toddlers in Tunggang Village, Mukomuko Regency . This study is an analytical survey study using a cross-sectional design . The population is all toddlers who were flood victims in Tunggang Village, Mukomuko Regency in 2022, totaling 48 toddlers. The sampling technique used the total sampling method, namely 48 toddlers . Data collection in this study used a questionnaire in the form of a checklist. The results of the study showed 48 respondents, 37 respondents whose clean water sources were polluted due to the impact of the flood, 48 respondents, 17 toddlers experienced diarrhea. There is a significant relationship between the impact of the flood and diarrhea in toddlers in Tunggang Village, Mukomuko Regency with a moderate category seen from the results of the Contingency Coefficient test , the value of C = 0.289 was obtained with p = 0.038 <α = 0.05 . It is expected that schools should be made efforts in addition to increasing public knowledge, they should also focus on disaster emergency response programs in collaboration with the local BPBD such as providing training and counseling on flood disaster preparedness.
